The shirt: 9 ways

The shirt is a very versatile piece and it’s something everyone should have at least one of. These nine ways of styling it are only a few possible ways.

1. Wear it just the way it is with the sleeves cuffed or not. Buttoned up all the way or not. This is a classic yet relaxed way of wearing the shirt.

2. Tuck the shirt in for a classy look and to show of your shape. Wearing the shirt this way looks good on anyone if you ask me.

3. If you want a more interesting look you can simply tuck in one side of the shirt. I love wearing it this way!

4. Tie the ends of the shirt in to a knot to define the waist. this works great over a dress as well.

5. If your shirt is oversized or you simply want to change it up you can wrap the shirt and pin it in place.

6. The off the shoulder trend is huge and with a shirt you can make your own top without cutting and sewing. I am so in love this look!

7. Familiar with Beyonce’s “Single ladies (put a ring on it)?” Well in my head I like to sing “put a belt on it.” I love adding a belt to my outfits, it adds a final touch.

8. I love layering and my favorite way of doing this is using similar pieces (denim, plaid shirts, striped shirts..) like I have done above. Just take a shirt and tie it over a similar shirt, it looks so good!

9. Finally if you like the ultimate relaxed look or if you just want to show what you’re wearing underneath. Throw on the shirt and wear it like you would a cardigan. (You can always put a belt on it to)

Tuesday: Navy & Burgundy

It’s Tuesday (Already!?) and I’m starting to feel the need for Christmas break. Anyone else who feels like going to bed in the middle of the day?

Obviously this isn’t an option (yet) so this is my outfit for today, cozy and relaxed.

The navy knit sweater with lace detail is from Lindex, the Burgundy corduroy pants are from Forever 21 (because I am ;D), the boots are Rieker, the earrings are Pieces and the choker is my own creation..

Yesterday’s Shopping

As promised here is my outfit from yesterday. I wore a cut out top from Zara underneath a lace cami also from Zara, the jeans are from Miss Selfridge and the bag is second hand. The boots I’ve had so long I barely remember where there from (same with the necklace). The earrings are from Pieces.

Black Friday was as crazy as expected and I came home with one find (unfortunately not on sale) but after I found it I felt I didn’t want anything else which is unlike me and only happens when I find something I really love.

This shirt from Ginatricot is my one and only find and I love it so much. It’s an oversized shirt with wide cuffs and the black ribbons is such a pretty detail but you can also remove them if you want. I love this type of shirt right now and I really wanted one that unlike the one I already have is a regular length, making it easier tuck in when you’re wearing pants. I couldn’t be more happy about this shirt!

Black Friday: Black and White

It’s Black Friday today and I’m excited to go shopping! I will wear a different outfit when I’m going shopping later which I will post tomorrow. Hopefully I will have some finds to show as well!

This outfit in black and white (which apparently became a theme since my second outfit today will also be black and white) I’m wearing a white shirt with wide cuffs underneath a cold shoulder top. The shirt is from H&M (I used to shop here a lot before..) and the cold shoulder top is from New Look which I bought this summer along with a white one. The skirt is an old Sonia Rykiel for H&M and the shoes that wear a lot these days are also H&M (shocker.)

Thursday: Lace, knit and studs

Thursday is finally here which means it’s Black Friday tomorrow and I’m so excited. I’m going shopping tomorrow (along with the rest of the world) and I’m hoping it won’t be too crazy.

For today’s outfit I wore my studded pants from H&M, a grey knitted top with a lace cami from Only over (in a greyish blue color.) I paired it with my zip boots from H&M, my fur bag (made from a hat) and a velvet choker.
